Provide business process and systems support encompassing root cause analysis, process and system mapping, iterative problem definition and hypothesized improvement opportunities. Interface heavily with project teams and management on multiple levels.  Built and utilized SIPOC analysis, process maps, Six Sigma, SDLC, waterfall and Agile methodologies.  Re-engineered processes, including facilitating organizational change and instituting performance measures.

IT Director (2007 to 2012): Planned and executed a series of QA projects to drive operational and business process improvements. The IT infrastructure supported $5M in monthly premium revenue, processed 215,000 transactions, generated 35,000 outbound bills, and prepared 7,200 pieces of outbound correspondence monthly. Utilized Agile techniques and applied Lean Six Sigma methodology. Consistently delivered projects by deadline and within budget.  Directed development team in evaluating, selecting and integrating COTS software to meet requirements of the Patriot Act. Led initiative in collaboration with Compliance Department.  Defined and implemented solution to validate names and transactions of customers screening for targeted Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) in the database of customers requiring continuous screenings.  Negotiated ongoing support for the production version of the software after the COTS package was implemented for a set annual fee and free software upgrades.  Applied scrum methodology for Agile development of the OTS Policy Administration System (LIFEPRO). The objective was to replace legacy software, add COTS software (ID3), and integrate 3 systems into 1.  Recommended approach to implement and integrate COTS Policy Administration System.

Led QA testing validating data migration and security for 300,000 policies.


IT Deputy Director, Production Software (1999 to 2007): Led IT Operations monthly production software processes. Scope involved contributing expertise to Internal Audit Department initiatives, as well as managing resources as directed by IT Steering Committee. Used ITIL Change Management strategy, and promoted formal release management for production modifications. Additionally, cultivated favorable business relationships with user community. Ensured accuracy of membership databases in order to deliver high customer satisfaction for US military user base.  Captured $50K annual savings by shifting source for address changes, which dramatically reduced errors and increased the accuracy of our membership mailing address database.  Slashed expenses associated with updating changes to policy data, by incorporating IT functionality with the USPS to address 8,000 changes to membership files monthly, and overseeing 25,000 miscellaneous changes each month.
